Florence S. Raczynski

Florence S. “Flo” Raczynski, age 82, of Southington and formerly of Cheshire entered into rest on Friday, August 23, 2019 at LiveWell in Plantsville. She was the devoted wife of Francis J. “Frank” Raczynski for over 58 years. Florence was born on December 1, 1936 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Duefrane) Phelan.

Flo lived most of her life and started her family with Frank in Cheshire, and she worked as an office manager at a local dentist. Six years ago she met commandeered her oldest son’s dog, Roxy, the both of them shared an amazing bond and companionship until the moment Flo passed.

She is the beloved mother of Stephen Raczynski of Southington; Brian Raczynski and his wife, Sarah of Fort Mill, SC; and Paul Raczynski of Southington. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Griffin and Perri; and her treasured pup, Roxy.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 10AM in the St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire has been entrusted with Flo’s arrangements.
