Florence J. (Salvatore) Lombardo

Florence J. (Salvatore) Lombardo passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025. She was the devoted and proud wife of the late Frank Lombardo with whom she shared 62 years of marriage and who had served on the Cheshire Police Force.

Florence was born to Michael and Pauline (Jacaruso) Salvatore and was blessed to enjoy 98 years on this earth. Florence lived in Cheshire her entire life. She dedicated her life to raising her boys. She loved cooking and caring for her entire family. She also loved tending to her flowers and gardens. Florence had a strong catholic faith, which helped her through the challenges of life. Florence was a longtime communicant of Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish.

Florence leaves behind her two sons, Thomas and Peter (Nancy) Lombardo, her great granddaughter, Kaylie Plourde and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and James Salvatore, her sister, Mary Pivirotto and her son Steven Lombardo.

Funeral services in celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Wednesday March 26, 2025 at 11:15 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 South Main Street and proceed to Saint Bridget of Sweden Church 175 Main Street, Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Saint Bridget Cemetery, Cheshire. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
