Naugatuck-Olive A. (Alberta) Farrell, 87, passed away on August 6, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Franklin M. Farrell, Sr.
Mrs. Farrell was born on February 8, 1926 in Providence, RI a daughter of the late Manuel and Olive Alberta. She worked as a secretary for many years for several manufacturing companies such as Naugatuck Chemical, Timex, Peter Paul, and Carmody and Torrance before retiring.
She is survived by two sons, Franklin M. Farrell Jr. of Branford and Brian Farrell of Naugatuck, one sister, Shirley Everitt of Watertown, one brother, Manuel Alberta Jr. of Naugatuck.
The family would like to give special thanks to her healthcare providers especially Dr. Inout Anton and Dr. Munir Hamzi whose decisive actions allowed Olive to retain her ability to walk independently for another six years.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of departure.
