Prospect-Gertrude L. (Stepney) Fallon, 91, beloved wife of the late George W. Fallon passed away on July 18, 2011 at Paradigm Healthcare Center of Prospect.

Mrs. Fallon was born on January 4, 1920 in Ansonia, a daughter of the late William and Lucy (Carle) Stepney. Before spending the last 60 years of her life in Prospect she also lived in Waterbury. She was retired from Chase Brass and Copper where she worked as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed dancing, and bird watching, especially cardinals. She was also a sports fan, she liked ice skating, the Yankees, and UConn basketball.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Fallon of Prospect, one brother, Charles Stepney of Plainville and her four grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, Adam and Cassandra.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Mildred Minion, Doris Webster and Claire Hunt-Hollis and by three brothers, Robert Stepney, Harold Stepney and William Stepney, Jr. and also by her step mother Lucy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69 Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
