Cheshire ' With heavy hearts we announce the tragic passing of Fae Elizabeth Mulligan, 30, of Mansion Road, from a pulmonary embolism on Sunday April 26, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.
Fae was born May 3, 1978, the daughter of Lynn Daley of Wallingford and the late John Mulligan. She grew up in Cheshire, and spent all of her life in Cheshire and Meriden. She was a homeless outreach case manager at Rushford in Meriden, extending her loving hand to the homeless and others in need.
She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She loved her seven-year-old son, Elijah Luzunaris, more than anything else in the world. She was loved fiercely by so many. She gave more of herself to everyone around her than she ever realized.
Beside her son and mother, Fae is survived by Jorge "Ito" Luzunaris; his children Pito and Maggie and their families; her sisters, Cara Renker of Cheshire, and Brenda Mulligan of Boston, and their families. She is also survived by her grandparents, Frances and Robert Davis, and Lilian Mulligan, all of Cheshire, and many other family members and friends.
Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 59 Main Street, Cheshire. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Slater Funeral Home, 615 South Main St, Cheshire.
