Eunice 'Casey' Ramm

Eunice “Casey” (Caskins) Ramm, age 85, of Cheshire passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. Eunice was born on June 24, 1930 in Malone, NY, daughter of the late Ralph and Beatrice M. (Ouellette) Caskins.

She was a 1952 alumna of Le Moyne College where she earned her degree in Business Administration. Eunice taught in Waterbury schools for 28 years, and was an Assistant Principal before her retirement in 1996. She was passionate about reading and was a devoted patron of Paul’s Restaurant in Cheshire.

Eunice is the beloved mother of James “Jim” Ramm and his wife JoAnne of Glastonbury; Thomas “Tom” Ramm and his wife Karen of Fenton, MI; and Robert “Bob” Ramm and his wife Heather of Amherst, NH. She is the loving grandmother of Brian, Christopher, Kevin, Joseph, Thomas, Emmett and Ethan. She is also survived by her cherished great grandchildren, Maddison, Morgan and Charleigh; her brother, Bernard Caskins and his wife Dorothy of Melbourne, FL; and her former husband James Ramm, Sr. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and Gary.

Eunice’s funeral procession will leave the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410, on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:15AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM in St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire. Interment will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8:45AM until the procession leaves for church.
