CHESHIRE- Ethel (Hampson) Sibold, 92, passed away Friday September 18, 2015 at Waterbury Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Robert O. Sibold.
She was born March 11, 1923 in Waterbury daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Henshall) Hampson.
Ethel lived in Waterbury until 1952 when she moved to Cheshire. She graduated from Wilby High School and attended Post College. Mrs. Sibold was a member of the Waterbury Women’s Club, University Club, and a member of Mill Plain Union Church. Her hobbies included antiques, and gardening.
Mrs. Sibold is survived by her son Robert H. Sibold of Cheshire; two nieces Judy Hoyt of Kent, and Sandra Goodwin of Maine; a nephew Russell Hoyt of Ocala, FL; and several great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements- A Funeral Service for Ethel will be held 9 A.M Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Mill Plain Union Church, 242 Southmayd Road, Waterbury, 06705. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, 850 Meriden Road, Waterbury, 06705. There are no calling hours.
