Esther Joanne 'Esty' Sica

Miss Esther Joanne “Esty” Sica, 44, of Waterbury, passed away early Saturday evening June 10, 2017.

Esty was born in Waterbury, March 15, 1973, a daughter of Carmela (Patricelli) Sica and the late Roland Sica and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social work from Central Conn. State University. She was employed at Southbury Training School for 19 years. Her kindness touched the lives of many people. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She enjoyed going to the gym on a daily basis and was an avid fan of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.

In addition to her Mother, Carmela of Waterbury, she leaves two brothers and their families; Vincent Sica and his wife Bonnie and their children Steven and Kayla, and Ernest L Sica and his wife Jennifer and their children, Olivia, Julia and several cousins, including, Elena Albini and her husband Carlo and their children, Maria, Carla, and Nicole.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from the Alderson - Ford Funeral Home, 9 Holmes Ave, Waterbury, and proceed to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 South Main St. Waterbury, 06706 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main St., Waterbury 06706. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for Church. Because of Ester’s love of animals, if desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Conn. Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, 06111.
