Ernest John Hallenborg, Jr.

Ernest J. Hallenborg, Jr., 71, of Waterbury, beloved husband of Charlene Hallenborg, passed away on October 9, 2024. Ernest was born on October 9, 1953, in Waterbury, CT to the late Ernest and Barbara Hallenborg.

Ernest was an avid lover of all sports. He rooted for the NY Yankees and NY Giants specifically, but also enjoyed golf, football of any kind, and trips to the casino. He especially loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and was their biggest fan.

In addition to his wife, Ernest leaves behind his children, Ryan Hallenborg and Charlotte (Tim) McCaffrey; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher and Samantha McCaffrey and Alaina Hallenborg; his sister, Linda Hallenborg; his wife's siblings and their families; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Not to be forgotten, he also leaves his beloved cats who will miss him tremendously.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 496 Chase Ave., Waterbury, CT. Burial will be private.
