Emmett M. Costello

CHESHIRE- Emmett M. Costello, 83, entered into rest Thursday August 21, 2014 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the loving husband of Edna (Brodeur) Costello.

Emmett was born January 25, 1931 in Meriden the son of the late William and Irene (Porter) Costello. He was a Korean War Veteran and was a loyal communicant of Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire. Emmett worked for Yale Surgical Center for many years and was an avid Red Sox fan. What Mr. Costello truly enjoyed was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Besides his devoted wife, Emmett is survived by his sons; Kevin Costello of Cheshire, Gary and his wife Paula Costello of South Meriden, and David and his wife Wendy Costello of Colorado; his daughter Patricia and her husband John Dion of Cheshire; his grandchildren Tyler, Kailey, Connor, Marissa, Rebecca, Gary, Matthew, Michael, Liam and Melanie.

Arrangements- Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 26, 2014, 9:15 from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St., to Church of the Epiphany for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Laurent Cemetery in Meriden. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
