CHESHIRE- Emma Rose (Becker) Rock passed away peacefully, with her family at her side on Wednesday October 17, 2012. She was the wife of the late John Francis Rock, who passed away in 2010 after 64 years of marriage.

Mrs. Rock was born September 19, 1926 in New York City, the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Bilotta) Becker. Emma was raised in Waterbury where she was a graduate of Wilby High School Class of 1944. With her husband, she moved to Cheshire in 1949 and raised their family. She retired from CT Savings Bank after many years in the banking industry. Her hobbies included sewing, bowling and playing cards. In her retirement years she enjoyed traveling and spending her winters in Bradenton, FL.

She was also a communicant of St. Bridget Church.

Mrs. Rock is survived by her two sons Richy and his wife Marilyn Rock of Cheshire, and Kenny and his wife Gerry of Cheshire; three daughters Judy Collins of Cheshire, Sandy and her husband Mark Wagner of Cheshire, and Peggy and her husband John Baker of Cheshire; thirteen loving grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Johnny Rock as well as her son-in-law Harold Collins.

Arrangements- Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012, 9 a.m. from The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St. to St. Bridget Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Haven Special Olympics, 1040 Whalley Ave., New Haven, CT 06515.
