Emma Gould

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Emma E. ( Fredericks) Gould, 94, formerly of Fairchild St., Naugatuck, passed away early Friday morning April 29, 2011 at the Paradigm Health and Rehabilitation Center in Prospect. She was the widow of George C. Gould of passed away in 1997 after 57 years of marriage.

Mrs. Gould was born in Naugatuck, Dec. 21, 1916 a daughter of the late Gustav and Anna (Hagen) Fredericks and was a lifelong Borough resident.

She was educated in the local school system and retired in 1954 from Peter Paul, Inc. with more than 19 years of service. She was communicant of St. Michael's Episcopal Church and was active with many of the committees of the church.

She leaves one son, Donald C. Gould of Prospect; one half-sister, Harriet Cahoon of Ballengter, TX., and one step-grandson, Dylan Parent of North Haven, CT.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at 10 am at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 210 Church St. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours and memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 210 Church St., Naugatuck, 06770-4120 or to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 1579 Straits Turnpike, Middlebury, 06762-1835.
