Waterbury- Elson A. Diaz, 56, departed this life on July 7, 2014, after fighting a long illness. Elson was born on May 31, 1958, son of the late Abimael Diaz and the late Gloria Diaz.
Elson worked for Siemon Company of Watertown.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, especially his nine brothers; Urbano Velez and his wife Susan, his twin brother, Tomas Diaz, Abimael Diaz Jr., Walter Diaz, Jerry Diaz and his wife Christina, Steven Diaz, Eliezar Diaz, Bruce Diaz and Anthony Diaz and his wife Annie. He also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lanao, Dr. Swales and Debbie Palmieri from the transplant unit at Hartford Hospital.
Arrangements- There is no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 9 Holmes Ave. Waterbury, is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations made in Elson’s name be made to Transplant Program Gift Fund Attn: Fund Development, Hartford Hospital 80 Seymour St. Hartford, CT. 06102.
