Waterbury - Ella Danaher, 84, of East Main Street, passed away Saturday evening May 23, 2009 at Bristol Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis P. Danaher.
Mrs. Danaher was born October 11, 1924 in Thomaston, the daughter of the late Martin and Sophia (Beruk) Marlak. She graduated from Thomaston High School Class of 1942 and was a Wolcott resident for 25 years before moving to Waterbury in 2000. She was employed by Hayden Switch and Instrument where she worked in Sales and Marketing. She also worked for Colonial Bank and Trust as well as Howland Hughes as Personal Manager. She was a communicant of St. Leo the Great Church for many years.
Mrs. Danaher is survived by her two daughters Kathleen Danaher and her husband TomVicino of Vernon, NJ and Joan Danaher of New York, NY; two brothers George Marlak of Prospect and Francis Marlak of Watertown. She is predeceased by her sisters Zoia Danaher and Mary Marlak.
Arrangements ' Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. a.m. at St. Leo the Great Church, 20 Brentwood Dr., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Thomaston.
