PROSPECT - Elizabeth Lee, 74, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of James “Jim” Lee.
Liz was born April 9, 1941 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Mecca) Hotchkiss. She was the owner/operator of Sugar Plum Day Care in Naugatuck for over 30 years. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Liz was an avid gardener and animal lover who enjoyed bird watching. She served the Prospect community for many years as a member of the Prospect Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Besides her husband of 54 years, Liz is survived by her daughters Robin Lee of Prospect, Jean McAree and her husband Bob of Bristol, Christine Sarlo and her husband Mark of Watertown, Mariann Dobbins and her husband Fred of Prospect; her sister Barbara Nardella of Waterbury; her eight grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Brian, Jayson, Julianne, Carissa, Taylor and Ryan; her Great Grandchild, Aubree; her sister in law Patricia Sullivan as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Friday October 9, 2015, 11 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Scleroderma Foundation, 59 Front St., Binghamton, NY 13905.
