Elizabeth Owen Larson

Elizabeth Owen (Merriam) Larson, wife of the late Richard Larson, a beloved Cheshire resident known for her infectious smile and love for traveling, has passed away at the age of 82. Born in Meriden, CT, a daughter of the late George and Concetta (Terzano) Merriam, Sr. Elizabeth was a proud homemaker and mother to Brenda Bass and her husband Douglas of Cheshire, Bruce Owen of Cheshire and Brian Owen and his wife Geri of Cheshire, her stepson, Richard Larson and his wife Laura Jean of Murfreesboro, TN. Alongside her children, she cherished spending time with her family, particularly her great grandchildren, and was a member of the Cheshire Senior Center and the Red Hat Society. Elizabeth also enjoyed trips to the casinos.

Besides her children, she leaves her brother George Merriam, Jr. and his wife Marie of Cheshire, her grandchildren, Megan and her husband Jeff Turner, Brittany Owen, Nicholas Owen, Alyssa Owen, Christopher Owen, Zachary Larson and Courtney Larson, her beloved great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Emily, Kaylee, Nora, Ava, Jackson and Jaeliana, several nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors.

Elizabeth’s family would like to thank the staff of Wooster 2 and the hospice team at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford for their care and support. 

Friends and family may gather at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 South Main Street on Sunday August 4, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral services in celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held Monday August 5, 2024 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home and proceed to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish/St. Bridget Church 175 Main Street in Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Prayers of committal and interment will follow in St. Laurent Cemetery in Meriden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonicare Health Center 22 Masonic Ave, Wallingford, CT 06492.
