Elizabeth L. Lee

Naugatuck - Elizabeth L. (Sampieri) Lee, born August 27, 1926, long time Naugatuck resident and communicant of St. Francis of Assis church passed away peacefully at her home on January 9, 2022.

She was preceded by the love of her life George F. Lee. She leaves behind a large and loving family. Five sons Robert E. Lee and partner Susmita Chauhan, Richard A Lee and wife Frances, Raymond Dennis Lee and wife Susan, Gerald F Lee and wife Cynthia, George F Lee Jr. and wife Christie; two Daughters Cynthia E. Lee and Nancy Lee Reilly and husband Matthew; her loving grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Michelle Richards, Melissa Hernandez, Justin Lee, Jessica Lee, Jenna Morin, Thomas Gaffney, Michael McGuiness, Kelley McGuiness, George F Lee III, Heather Lee, Matthew Reilly II, and Dyllon Reilly, along with their significant others; her 13 Great Grandchildren and many others she considered her KIDS.

Betty enjoyed any occasion that brought family and friends together. Christmas was her favorite time of year as it aided in her passion for shopping. She loved gift giving year-round from birthdays to Halloween. Betty also enjoyed rides whether it be by car, boat, or plane, always on the move right up until her final days. Her time spent chatting with a cup of tea was always a comfort to her and brought her joy. Betty Lee was a very special woman who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Arrangements –Funeral services for Betty will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 12 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 11 until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
