Elizabeth A. Baslak, 87, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Waterbury Gardens.

Mrs. Baslak was born July 10, 1935, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (McSweet) Townsend.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  As a longtime resident of Oxford, she was employed for many years at Peter Paul Cadbury in Naugatuck.  She was known for her love of the beach, Almond Joys, and Bowling as well as spoiling her cats. 

Mrs. Baslak is survived by her siblings Theodore Townsend, Gertrude Griswold, Mildred Kovic; as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Ruth Solberg and her former husband William Baslak. 

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, 11:00 AM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery.  A period of visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 10:30 am until the service begins at 11 am.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 350 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, CT 06770.
