Eleanor Virginia Jenzell 92, of 52 Missionary Rd., Cromwell, died at Pilgrim Manor, the skilled nursing section of Covenant Village of Cromwell, after a long illness Miss Jenzell was born in Waterbury, November 23, 1917 the only child of the late Joseph Emil Jenzell and Selma Gustav Jenzell. She was never married. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, CT until November 1993 when she moved to the, independent living section of Covenant Village of Cromwell in Cromwell She graduated Salem Grammar School in 1931 and graduated Naugatuck High School in 1935 with a 90 GPA. Eleanor was a 1ifelong member of the Hillside Covenant Church, Naugatuck. Eleanor's entire working career (1936 -1979) was with the Bristol Company in Waterbury CT where she had a key role in the introduction and operation of main frame computer management information systems. She had a lifelong interest in flowers and artistic dried flower displays, loved taking photographs and began to travel extensively in the early 1990's. She leaves several cousins A memorial service will be held on Saturday Feb. 21st at 11 a.m. at the Hillside Covenant Church 100 Hillside Ave. proceeded by burial in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is in charge of arrangements.
