NAUGATUCK – Eileen (Walsh) Kelly, 72, passed away June 1, 2019. She was the wife of Michael F. (Mike) Kelly.
Eileen was born December 28, 1946 in Naugatuck, the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Margaret (Tookey) Walsh. She was a 1964 graduate of Naugatuck High School and graduated from Bay State College. She was a lifelong Naugatuck resident as well as a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
For many years she owned and operated Saturday’s Sundaes Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor.
Eileen also owned Church Street Station, a full service restaurant located on Church Street in Naugatuck.
Later, she was a real estate agent with Mike Kelly Real Estate.
Besides her husband of 50 years, Eileen is survived by her daughters, Morgan and Regan; her grandchildren Chloe, Riley, Eddie and Charlie; her son-in-law, Ed Tourtellotte; her sister, Judy Prosl (Ted); niece Kirsten Prosl; and her brother, Daniel Walsh; her brother-in-law Patrick J. Kelly. In addition to her parents, Eileen is predeceased by her daughter Heather and niece Gretchen Prosl.
The Kelly family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, aides and staff at Yale Smilow Cancer Hospital who, for the last forty years, have treated and cared for Eileen with the utmost professionalism and tender care.
Arrangements – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at 9 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
