NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Eileen Loretta (Hirbour) Stinson, 98 formerly of Naugatuck, passed away Saturday June 22, 2013 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. She was the widow of Henry E. Stinson, who passed away in 1991 after more than 50 years of marriage.

Mrs. Stinson was born in Waterbury, April 23, 1915, a daughter of the late Matthew and Loretta (Quinn) Hirbour and had been a Naugatuck resident for over 50 years. She was a retired employee of Breen's where she was a Ladies Sales Associate for over 15 years, prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of the Legion of Mary of the parish and a former member of Post 17 American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

She leaves three granddaughters, Jennifer Pratt of Naugatuck, Aimee Ardry of Springfield VT., and Kristen Julliano of Naugatuck; one great-granddaughter, Sage Elizabeth Foster of Naugatuck and her son-in-law, Robert Julliano of Naugatuck, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maryellen Julliano and her son Robert Stinson and a sister Mary Hankey .

Her funeral will be held on Friday June 28, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home of Southbury, 990 Main St. North, Southbury, Ct 06788.
