CLERMONT, FL - Eileen L. Pineau, 74, formerly of Oxford, entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2016. She was the wife of Robert Pineau.
Originally from Connecticut, Eileen worked for the Department of Defense as a Quality Production Manager on the Black Hawk line at Sikorsky Aircraft. She was an avid reader and while still working Eileen also volunteered with a local literacy program to help adults learn to read and get their GEDs. Eileen and her husband of 57 years, Bob retired to Clermont, Florida in 2004 to enjoy the warm weather.
Besides her husband, Eileen is survived by her son Robert Pineau II and daughter-in-law Leah Faraci-Pineau; her daughter Denise Figueroa and son-in-law Eduardo Figueroa; three granddaughters, Melissa Foxx, Jessica Foxx , Amanda Foxx and future grandson-in-law Gilbert Rivera; as well as her 5 great-grandchildren, Meadow and Sylvio DeStefano, and Paul and Cayla Blatchley, Raymond Zimmer; her sister Madelyn Novitski and her brother-in-law Charles Novitski, her sister Veronica Savage and brother-in-law Fred Savage, and her extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her grandson, Steven Foxx.
Arrangements - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church 318 Church St., Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
