Edward Thomas McMahon

Edward Thomas McMahon, 81, of Cheshire, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Ed was born in New Haven on November 6, 1943 to Edward P. and Irene (Stoll) McMahon.

Ed grew up in New Haven, graduating from Notre Dame High School in 1962. After receiving a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Quinnipiac University, he served in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1970. Ed was employed by UniRoyal Rubber Company and retired from New Haven Legal Assistance Association as a comptroller. Ed was a very loyal Quinnipiac University Alumni, attending many sporting events including baseball, basketball and ice hockey on a regular basis. A very devout Catholic, he attended Mass several days a week.

Besides his parents, Ed was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Philip Costelli. He is survived by his sisters, Sheila Costelli (late Philip) and Maureen Fuest (Fred); nephews, Stephen, Kevin and Robert Fuest; and great nephews, Ethan and Owen Fuest.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish/St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410.
