Edward Evonciw

Edward Evonciw 97 of Prospect St. Passed away on June 3, 2009 at the Waterbury Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Ann (Haywood) Evonciw.

Mr. Evonciw was born in Austria on May 6, 1912 and was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Evonciw. He was a machinist for the U.S. Steel Co. until his retirement. Edward was also a WWII Navy veteran. He was a commercial pilot and a instructor in aviation . He was a member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks # 25 in New Haven. He also loved fishing.

Besides his wife Ann, Edward is survived by one sister Mary Markiza of San Diego, CA.

And several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements; Relatives and friends are invited attend a graveside service on Monday June 8, 2009 at 2:30 PM at St. Lawrence Cemetery 280 Derby Ave West Haven CT. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury 9 Holmes ave . is in charge of arrangements.
