Edward Cavanaugh

Cheshire ' Edward T. Cavanaugh, 87, of Cheshire, passed away Sunday January 31, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was the husband of the late Florence M. Cavanaugh.

Mr. Cavanaugh was born September 23, 1922 in Waterbury the son of the late Edward and Josephine (Sullivan) Cavanaugh. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Army and later in the Navy. He was a member of the Waterbury Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 265 as well as a longtime Cheshire resident.

Mr. Cavanaugh is survived by his son Gary E. Cavanaugh of Plantsville; his daughters Debra Ann Mangini and her husband Edward of Franklin, MA and Sharon C. LeVasseur and her husband Delsie of Cheshire; five grandchildren Jennifer C. Mangini, Michael E. Mangini, Dana E. Mangini, Shelby C. LeVasseur and Brittany N. LeVasseur; his caregiver Barbara Czerwinska. He is predeceased by his brothers Robert and John and his sister Ruth.

Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 4, 2010 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
