Edward Bunce

Mr. Edward G. Bunce, 80, of Waterbury passed away Friday April 2, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Bunce was born July 28, 1929 in Waterbury the son of the late George and Helen (Foley) Bunce and was a Waterbury resident for most of his life. He was a graduate of Washington Grammar School and Leavenworth High School. He was a school bus driver in Waterbury for many years and had also worked at Howland Hughes for many years. He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a Communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

He leaves his sister Mary Geoffroy of Wolcott and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Jeanette Farrell and Helen Gregory.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Bunce will be celebrated Thursday April 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main Street in Waterbury Family and friends are asked to gather directly at Church. Burial will follow in New Saint Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street has care of arrangements.
