Edna Siequist

WOLCOTT- Mrs. Edna M. (McLean) Siequist, 98 formerly of Wolcott, passed away Sunday evening Aug. 8, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Clayton Siequist, who passed away in 1980 after almost 25 years of marriage.

Mrs. Siequist was born in Canada, May 25, 1912, a daughter of the late Harry G. and Hazel S. (Akerley) McLean and had been an area resident for many years, having lived in Hudson, Fl. For 10 years, prior to moving back to Conn. She was a retired employee of the Bristol Co. with over 27 years of service. She was an avid writer of short stories and enjoyed reading and flowers.

She leaves a sister Pauline Neidt of Wolcott and was predeceased by her brother, Harry McLean and her sisters, Leone Ranney and Alma Wooding.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 12th, 2010 at 11 am at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make memorial contributions to, Meriden Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center Residents Fund, 1132 Meriden Rd., Waterbury, 06705-3629.
