Waterbury ' Edmund J. Brucato Jr., 66, of Vernon St. and formerly of Cheshire, Prospect and Woodbury passed away Monday December 29, 2008 in Virginia.
Mr. Brucato was born December 3, 1942 in Waterbury, the son of the late Edmund J. and Dorothy (Reihl) Brucato Sr. He was President of Brucato Manufacturing in Waterbury until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of the Civitan Club, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 265 in Waterbury and the Screw Machine Association. Mr. Brucato was an active member in the democratic party. He was also a member of the First Lutheran Church of Waterbury. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, golfing, bowling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Brucato is survived by his son Eric Brucato and his wife Debra of Holliston, MA; his daughter Brigitte Imperato and her husband Gene of Tampa, FL; his brother Robert Brucato and his wife Sandy of Cheshire; the mother of his children Sylvie Marchi of Danbury; six grandchildren Danielle, Alyssa, Sidney, Connor, Riley and Marley.
Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 3, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 88 Cooke St., Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for Deaf Children, P.O.
