Edith Klein

WATERBURY- Miss Edith Dorothy Klein, 89, of 63 Lexington Ave., Waterbury, passed away Thursday Aug. 19, 2010 at the Waterbury Hospital.

Miss Klein was born in Waterbury, June 3, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Jaworski) Klein and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and was formerly employed by Chase Brass and Copper for over 30 years and retired from Taft School after 10 years of service. She was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church and enjoyed reading and trips to the casino.

She leaves two brothers, Robert Klein and William Klein and his wife, Lumina all of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her bothers and sisters, Joseph, Charles, Walter, Ann,and Evelyn Klein and Mary Betts and Margaret Wilson.

Private funeral services will be held on Saturday with burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Episcopal Church, 16 Church St., Waterbury, 06702-2103
