E. Beverly Slack

E. Beverly Slack, 90, of 76 Sunnyside Ave passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at her residence.

Beverly was born March 12, 1918 in Waterbury, and was the daughter of the late Leonard and Erna (Kaereher) Slack. She attended Quinnipiac University were she received a degree in Electrical Engineering. Following college she was employed at Northeast Utilities where she worked as an Electrical Engineer prior to her retirement.

Beverly was a member of the First Congregational Church in Waterbury. In her spare time she was a member of the Waterbury Naturalist Club, The National Audubon Society, and was an avid girl scout in her younger years.

Beverly is survived by her two cousins, Shirley Perkins of East Lyme and Mildred Kaercher, of Waterbury.

Arrangements- Funeral Services for Beverly will be held Monday, December 8, 2008 at The First Congregational Church, 222 West Main St, Waterbury at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. Friends and Family are asked to meet directly at church. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Beverly's name may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 1579 Straits Turnpike Suite C, Middlebury, CT 06762.
