Seymour, CT Ann Dunnuck, 96, widow of Deryl G. Dunnuck, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the home of her son and daughter in law in Thomaston. Ann loved to sing and was a member of the church choir. She also loved sports and enjoyed playing golf and tennis and watching basketball, tennis, golf and football. She was loving and compassionate and left a legacy of kindness. She touched many lives.

Ann was born on April 24, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN daughter of the late Rista and Ella June (Baker) Velich. Ann was a former Naugatuck resident and she worked as an accounts payable clerk for PerkinElmer in Danbury before her retirement.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Newland; her son and daughter in law, Robert and Luann Dunnuck; her 5 grandchildren, Deana Diluggo and her husband, Nick Diluggo, Christopher Newland and his wife, Felisha Newland, Brian Dunnuck and his wife, Jennifer Dunnuck, Gabrielle Rosner and her husband Nevin Rosner and Sophia Dunnuck; her 8 great grandchildren, Isaiah, Angelina, Nico, Calen, Raegan, Payton, Jaxson and Ariana.

A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be Friday, December 9, 2022 from 6-8 pm at House of Prayer Church, 1245 Thomaston Avenue, Waterbury, CT. Burial will be private in the CT State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Ann’s memory, contributions can be made to House of Prayer Church, 1245 Thomaston Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06704.
