Claire Duffy

New Haven-Claire M. (Robinson) Duffy, 81 formerly of Waterbury passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at the Mary Wade Home in New Haven where she resided for the past five years. She was the widow of Richard L.Duffy, Sr.

Mrs. Duffy was born on May 22, 1929 in Somerville, MA a daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Bohane)Robinson. She was retiree of St. Mary's Hospital after thirty years.

She is survived by two daughters, Ellen M. DeBowes and her husband Brian of New Haven and Patricia Anne Duffy of Long Beach, CA, one son, Edward F. Duffy and his wife Sasithorn of Fahaheel, Kuwait and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one daughter Margaret Mary Duffy and one son Richard Duffy, Jr.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10:00 am. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church for a mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
