Arrol (Chatfield) Drew
February 9, 1909 - January 14, 2012
Prospect -A very special Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt left us all after 102 remarkable years. Arrol was born in the Chatfield Farmhouse to Mr. and Mrs. John and Myrtle Chatfield in 1909. She was the oldest sibling of nine.
She attended school in the one room school house on Waterbury Road in Prospect and worked for American Brass during the War Years. In addition to American Brass she worked at the Prospect Dairy Bar for 12 years.
In May of 1930 she married Frank Drew of Cheshire. Beloved mother of Roger C. Drew who passed in 2003.
Arrol leaves her only remaining sibling, Judy Fiengo of Prospect. She is survived by her daughter in-law Madeline Drew, her grandchildren Kevin Drew, Cameron Drew-Falkowski and Jennifer Hill. Her great grandchildren include; Jared, Heather, Nick, Warren and Roger and great-great grandchildren Joseph and Collin. Arrol’s legacy and gift was her ability to make everyone she knew “feel special”. We all thought we were her “favorite”. Her love and dedication to her family was unparalleled. We knew her as; Arrol, Gram, Boo-Nan and Auntie Arrol and the woman who never spoke badly of anyone.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prospect Congregational Church, 4 Union City Rd, Prospect. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.
There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69 Prospect is in charge of the arrangements.
