Douglas W. Hick, age 49 of Cheshire passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side after a 4 year courageous battle with cancer. Doug grew up between Cheshire and Duxbury, MA, where he graduated from Duxbury High School in 1991 then earned his Bachelor’s degree from Babson College before returning to Cheshire. He was the proud owner of Mr. Tent Party Rentals for 25 years. Doug grew a successful business after lots of dedication and hard work, making it what it is today. Doug was a great guy with a fantastic sense of humor. He was a friend to many and would do anything for anyone. Family came first to Doug. He was a loving husband and a proud father. He was very dedicated and always supported his children in everything they did. He was their biggest fan! Making memories with family and friends was his life’s focus. He enjoyed anything outdoors and loved spending time at his “happy place” in Vermont. He enjoyed riding ATV’s, snowmobiling and boating, but most of all, relaxing and spending time with his family. Doug will be deeply missed, never forgotten and loved forever.
