Mrs. Dorothy F. (Flint) Dowling, 74, of Waterbury died peacefully with her family by her side Monday January 12, 2008 at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Dennis M. Dowling, Sr.
Dorothy was born September 5, 1934 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Howard and Katherine (Corcoran) Flint and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and W. F. Kaynor Technical School's LPN Program. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Saint Mary's Hospital retiring in 1995 after 25 years of service.
She leaves her son, Dennis M. Dowling, Jr. of Waterbury, her daughters, Kathryn Gibilisco, Karen Leonard and Linda Dowling all of Waterbury, her sisters, Louise Theriault and Grace Triano both of Waterbury and Inez Piorkowski of Southbury 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves her companion Linda and her friends Donna and Tommy.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held Friday January 16 at 11 a.m. at the Mulville Funeral Home 270 West Main Street. Burial will be at the convenience of her family in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
