Dorothy B. 'Dee' Andrews

Dorothy (Birmingham) Andrews, age 66, of Ft. Lauderdale entered into rest on Monday, July 13, 2015 at her home. Dorothy was born on May 30, 1949 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Jackson) Birmingham.

Dorothy enjoyed reading and to cook, but she fancied her computer games. She was an amazing mother and grandmother, and loved walking with her dog, Tootsie.

She was the beloved mother of Louise Andrews and her husband Richard Gordon of FT. Lauderdale, FL; Laura Stevens and her husband Robert of Crestview, FL; Dorothy Andrews of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Adele Collins and her husband John of Madison, FL; and Kenneth Andrews of Crestview, FL. Dorothy is survived by her cherished grandchildren Wayne, Josh, Nicholas, Ryan, Erica, Alex, Robert, Ashley, Jayden, Jasmine, Zabian, Ava, Kenny, Kevin, Issac and Chance, and her loving great grandchild Teagan; her brothers, William Birmingham and his wife Barbara of Waterbury and Fred Birmingham and his wife Gloriann of Cheshire; her sisters, Elizabeth Phelan and Anne LaRose, both of Waterbury. Dee was predeceased by her brother Robert Birmingham and her husband Kenneth Andrews.

Dorothy’s Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 12:30PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06710. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Friend may greet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:30AM until the time of service.
