Donna L. Hackett

CHESHIRE – Donna L. Hackett, 59, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday March 30th.

Donna was born May 27, 1959 in Waterbury, a daughter of Frances (Karcher) Hackett and the late Raymond T. Hackett. She was raised in Cheshire and attended local schools, graduating from Cheshire High School in 1981. She resided for many years in the Manchester area, participating in several of MARC's programs, including many years of work at Scan-Optics. Donna enjoyed bowling, puzzles and spending time with her family and friends. She loved all dogs, especially her favorite Riley.

In addition to her mother, Donna is survived by her sisters, Debra Hackett, Barbara Hackett, and Susan Booth, and her husband, Brian. She also leaves behind her aunt, Patricia Hackett, her nieces, Shannon Booth and Erin Booth and many cousins.

Donna's family would like to thank all of the people who have helped her over the years. They are especially grateful to the dedicated staff of Sunrise's Linwood group home for their compassionate care.

Arrangements – Friends may greet Donna’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Memorial contributions, in Donna’s name, may be made to Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, P.O.Box 808, Hudson, MA 01749-0808.
