CHESHIRE- Donald P. MacLellan, 91, passed away Sunday October 9, 2016 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Agnes J. (Beach) MacLellan whom he was married to for 68 years.
Mr. MacLellan was born March 8, 1925 in Naugatuck, son of the late Archibald P. and Corinne E. (Parsons) MacLellan.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served during World War II. He also served in the National Guard where he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was employed as an Oil Burner Technician at Hines, and in the Maintenance Department for the Board of Education in Cheshire prior to his retirement, and a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by his two sons David and his wife Suzanne MacLellan of Greenville, RI, Alan and his wife Suzzanne MacLellan of Bristol; a daughter Kathleen and her husband Roger Brown of Cape Coral, FL; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Donald was predeceased in death by his siblings, Beatrice Jane Edgecomb, Janis Walston, and William Charles MacLellan.
Arrangements- Calling hours will be held the morning of the funeral from 9:30 A.M, Thursday, October 13, 2016 until the service starts at 11 A.M at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. Burial of his cremains with full military honors will be held 10 A.M, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Hillside Cemetery, Wallingford Road, Cheshire, 06410.
