CHESHIRE – Donald M. Lilley, 88, passed away Thursday July 9, 2015 at Bristol Hospital. The husband of Jessie T. (Dingwell) Lilley, he was born in New Haven on September 1, 1926 to the late Charles and Alice (Bassett) Lilley. A WWII AAF Veteran and a longtime Cheshire resident, he retired from AT & T and later Connecticut Microwave. He was an NRA member, gun safety instructor, glider pilot, avid reader and accomplished woodworker.
Besides his wife of 60 years, Mr. Lilley is survived by his daughter Donna Crandell and her husband William of Bristol; his son Bruce of Topeka, KS; his brother Raymond and his wife Carol; granddaughter Terren and her husband Sean Emery, granddaughter Katrina Crandall and her husband Dan Mazza; two nephews and five great grandchildren.
Arrangements – Calling hours will be held on Wednesday July 15th from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. with funeral services at 11.
