Donald J. Kupec

CHESHIRE – Donald J. Kupec, 80, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at CT Hospice in Branford. He was the husband of Linda (Lindsay) Kupec.

Mr. Kupec was born July 17, 1938 in New Britain, the son of the late George and Mary (Fallis) Kupec. He was raised and educated in the New Britain area and furthered his education at the University of Hartford where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He was an avid golfer and known for his love of classic cars. His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his five grandchildren.

Besides his wife of 54 years, Mr. Kupec is survived by his children William Kupec and his wife Andrea of Middlefield; Carolyn Kupec of Cheshire; Timothy Kupec and his wife Gina of Wallingford; Laura Rosier and her husband Marshall of Cheshire; his brothers Richard Kupec of Vernon and Thomas Kupec of FL; and his grandchildren Kyle and Ethan Kupec, T.J. Kupec and Lilly and Jack Rosier. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother George and his sister Lois Zielke.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish / St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.
