PROSPECT - Donald G. Carter, 62, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Hartford Hospital.

Don was born March 18, 1960, in Waterbury; the son of George Carter and the late Margaret (Bronson) Carter. He was employed by the Cheshire Board of Education and served in the maintenance division for 25 years.

Besides his father, he is survived by his children Caitlyn Carter and her fiancé Robert Aresti of Southington, Robert Carter and his girlfriend Karen Novak of Southington; Bryan Carter of Glendale, CO; his siblings Beverly Hickey and her husband Terrence, Linda DiNino and her husband Bob, David Carter; and his ex-wife Kimberly Carter.

Don was a devoted member of the Highland Elementary School community and formed meaningful friendships with the adults and students there. He enjoyed car shows and traveling to Florida. Some of his greatest memories were the summer nights he spent watching YouTube videos on the projector by the pool and hot tub with his children. Caitlyn, Robert, and Bryan were the people he loved the most and was most proud of. They were the best accomplishments of his life.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 4 to 6 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. On Friday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am and proceed to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
