Donald Andrews

Donald Andrews, 98, of Waterbury passed away Saturday October 1, 2022 at Abbott Terrace Health Center. He was the loving husband of the late Mary F. (Murphy) Andrews.

Mr. Andrews was born January 18, 1924 in Waterbury, a son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Pryor) Andrews and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. He was a 1942 graduate of Leavenworth High School as well as Post Jr. College of Commerce earning his degree in Business Administration. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the USS. Reno.  He was employed in traffic management at Anaconda American Brass retiring after many years of service. Donald was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks # 365 of Waterbury and was the past Commander of the VFW Post 201 of Waterbury. He enjoyed bowling in the Wednesday afternoon seniors league at Lakewood Lanes. Donald was a Communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church.

Donald leaves ten nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews as well as his good friends Robert Alvarez and Tony Lopez. He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth, Franklin and George and his sister Mary Hosier.
