Waterbury-George J. Dinkle, 80, of 210 Peach Orchard Rd, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Germaine (Nadeau) Dinkle .
Mr. Dinkle was born on January 19, 1930 in Waterbury a son of the late George Herman and Elizabeth (Kobo) Dinkle. He was retired from AJ Tilton in New Jersey where he worked as a Sales Representative for many years. He served as a Marine during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Boston at the U.S. Navy shipyard and was cited for service in the war. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1978 and for over 30 years he served at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect
Besides his wife of Waterbury he is survived by one son, Douglas G. Dinkle of Middle Island, NY and one brother, Robert Tompkins and his wife Evelyn of Sharon and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at St. Anthony's Church, 4 Union City Rd, Prospect from 3-5 p.m.
Everyone is invited to attend a mass of Christian burial that will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Prospect. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
