Dianne L. Johnson

WATERBURY- Dianne L. Johnson, age 84, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Cheshire House in Waterbury. She was the beloved wife of late Thomas Johnson, who predeceased her in 2018 after, 45 years of marriage.

Mrs. Johnson was born October 19, 1939 in Peekskill, NY, daughter of the late Maurice and Elma (Phair) Brayton.

Dianne was a case worker for the Connecticut Department of Social Services, prior to her retirement. Dianne loved nature, fishing, and bird watching. She was also a member of the Waterbury Beautification and Litter Commission.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Murphy, and loving daughter, Kathleen Peacock, both of Waterbury; granddaughters, Krystle Thomas and Kaitlyn Murphy; and four great grandchildren.

A private inurnment for Mrs. Johnson will take place at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St., is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial contributions, in Dianne’s name, may be made to The Nature Conservancy, 55 Church Street, Third Floor, New Haven, CT 06510.
