Dennis K. Lape

CHESHIRE – Dennis K. Lape, 80, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was the husband of Martha (Ruggeri) Lape. He was born on November 28, 1935 in Canton, OH, the son of the late Jerome E. and Luella J. Lape.

He was a 1959 graduate of the Ohio State University in Industrial Engineering, and had a 39 year career with Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Wallingford, CT and Pittsburgh, PA retiring in 1998.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children William (Stacey) of Woodbury, MN; Janel (Mahmood) of Durham, NC; his brother Jerome II (Carolyn) of Fort Mill, SC; three Grandchildren Alycia, Alex, and Zain; a nephew Doug and a niece Rebecca.

Arrangements – A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr., where Dennis was a member since 1976. There are no calling hours and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Martha Lape Outreach Fund in care of the church.
