Lucy Delorenzo

Waterbury, CT Lucy Frances DeLorenzo, 68, died February 10, 2024.

Lucy was born December 10, 1955 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late John and Lois (Beardmore) DeLorenzo. Lucy lived in Waterbury all of her life and she retired from the United States Postal Service.

Lucy is survived by her son, Francis Bonacassio, Jr.; her grandsons, Anthony Ferraiolo, Stephen Sorbo and Kayden Sorbo; her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucy was predeceased by her son, Stephen J. Sorbo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Avenue, Waterbury. Everyone attending is kindly asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Friday from 5:00-7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
