BEACON FALLS – David Leoni, 70, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Christina L. (Hansen) Leoni, who passed away in 2019.

Mr. Leoni was born February 8, 1949, in New Haven, the son of the late Ferdinando and Phyllis (Villano) Leoni. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He had resided in Beacon Falls for the last few years having previously resided in various parts of the country including North Carolina, New Hampshire and Florida. He was a long-time Deli Manager for Stop and Shop until his retirement.

David was a man of deep faith, who loved his family, his country, and the New York Yankees.

His beloved and cherished family survives Mr. Leoni. His son, Jonathan D. Leoni, and his wife, Adrianna, of Durham; stepson James M. Bartley of Branford; stepdaughter Jackie Cole and her husband Ford of Cheshire; his granddaughter Amalia Leoni; step grandsons Andrew Bartley and Daniel Bartley; and his sister, Rebecca Leoni of Florida.

Arrangements – A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at 11 am at Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, 104 Mountain Rd., Seymour. Military honors will conclude the funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Seymour Evangelical Baptist Church, 06483.
