SOUTHINGTON – David G. Marks, 72, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Gudelski) Marks.
Mr. Marks was born February 6, 1948, and lived in Cheshire for most of his life. He was the son of the late Raymond and Charlotte (Bickle) Marks. David was one of six children. He was a proud Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam war on the USS Caliente. After his service, he held careers as an electrician and real estate agent. Later he received his business degree from Central Connecticut State University, subsequently he worked as a claims adjuster for Aetna. His retirement job was playing the stock market.
David had a passion for travel, visiting places all over the world. He thoroughly enjoyed reading, picking stocks and watching movies but most of all, David loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Mr. Marks leaves behind his 3 children and their spouses all of whom he loved and cared for deeply, his daughter Amy Ferrucci and son-in-law Brett Ferrucci, daughter Robyn Clark and son-in-law Dan Clark, son Christopher Marks and daughter-in-law Jennifer Marks. David was a wonderful grandfather to his six grandchildren; Quinn and Layla Clark, Ryan and Luke Ferrucci, and Marielle and Jacob Marks. David was an amazing brother, he was very close to his siblings; Raymond Marks and wife Carolyn Marks, Jim Marks and wife Doreen, Trish Marks, Debbie (Marks) Felicita and husband Bruce Felicita, and Jackie (Marks) Papallo and husband Carmen Papallo. He was well loved by his in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte (Bickle) Marks, father Raymond Marks and sister, Debbie Felicita.
Arrangements – A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. The burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust at www.dav.org.
