PLANTSVILLE- David Thomas Boland, 83, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Margaret Kendrick Boland.
He was born on November 3, 1930, in Waterbury, the son of the late William P. and Rena (Hutchinson) Boland.
David graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1953, and Northwestern Dental School in 1957. He served in the Navy Dental Corp from 1957 to 1959. David practiced General Dentistry in Cheshire for 43 years.
Besides his wife of 45 years, he is survived by two sons, David Boland of Essex Junction, VT; and Thomas and his wife Amy Garvin Boland of Fairfield; three daughters, Elizabeth Boland and her husband Gregory White of Essex Junction, VT; Katherine Boland of Glassboro, NJ; and Susan Boland and her husband Vencislav Kourdov of Arlington, MA; a brother, William Patrick Boland Jr. of Cheshire; and seven grandchildren, Gabriel, Chiara, and Phoebe White; Madeline and Michael Boland; and Abigail and James Kourdov.
Arrangements- David's funeral precession will begin at 9:15 A.M. Wednesday, November 27 from The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St and will continue to St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire. Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 26, from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
