David Berson

David Berson, 83, of Cheshire, beloved husband of 61 years to Virginia Berson, passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2023. David was born on September 14, 1939 in Scranton, PA to the late Samuel and Susan Berson.

David worked for Swan Engraving in Bridgeport until his retirement in 2004. Afterwards, he worked for the Cheshire Senior Center for several years. David was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and family man. He was a “people person” who never met someone who didn’t become a friend. He and Virginia greatly enjoyed camping, boating, traveling and riverboat cruises. They made a couple trips to Italy over the years and their last destination was to Israel. David loved to sing and belonged to the Cheshire Community Chorus. Frank Sinatra was a favorite, and even while sick he did his best to sing along.

In addition to his wife, Virginia, he is survived by his sons, David M. Berson and Jeffrey W. Berson; grandsons, Alexander D. Berson and Logan D. Berson; sisters-in-law, Anne (Donald) Gabriel and Nancy (Peter) Sorrentino; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Malley.
